Yup - just as the error message says: you're not auothrized to connect.
Try login into the ipaq as root, then running:
xhost +192.168.1.100
Works for me, here.

P.S. with x2x, the ipaq's display seems to be wider than it really is:
the cursor disappears for about a screen width 'between' displays.
