Hi,
Regarding the documentation of the SA1100 there is an Real Time Clock
with an alarm function. This alarm function can be used to wake up the
CPU from the sleep mode (if configured).
For implementing a reminder function on the iPAQ linux, this alarm
could be very useful. Therefore my first question:
But looking into the sources of the bootldr, I can see that enabling
the wake-up an RTC-alarm is disabled (guarded by an `#if 0').
Any special reasons for this?
I am not a Linux-programmer. But that should not be a problem at all
because any other application can write to this register (or is this
protected by the kernel?).
So my question is:
Has anybody some experience with the RTC and the alarm function?
In the bootldr there are some lines of code which handle the RTC and
the alarm registers. Therefore I would expect that somebody already
tried to use it...
Thanx in adcance,
Martin
