Hi,
Eventhough my question is linux kernel based question, i hope somebody can
answer for this.

As i want to use the cramfs, first i want to tried in x86. For that, i have
taken linux kernel 2.4.2 and compiled with cramfs option enabled.

using mkcramfs tool, i created the cramfs image. I booted my pc with new
compiled kernel linux2.4.2.
When i tried to mount cramfs image like

                mount -t cramfs -o loop test.cramfs /mnt/test

After that, the whole system hangs. Can any one tell what could be the
reason?.

/mnt/test directory is available, test.cramfs is the valid cramfs image and
kenel also detected the cramfs type. But i don't know why it is hanging.
Is it becuase i am tring to test it in PC. Do i need to test it only in
FLASH memory? ).

        Expecting some answer for this?.

thankx and regards,
sadeesh.
