I just created ipkg's for the new X server and libraries supporting
RandR: the rotate and resize extension, designed and implemented by
Keith Packard and Jim Gettys.

The X server is renamed from Xfbdev to Xipaq and includes both
framebuffer and HP VGA PC Card support.

In addition to the X server, libxrandr.so (the library supporting the
RandR extension), we've added the xrandr command for controlling screen
rotation.

You can use:
        xrandr -o right
to put it in portrait mode, and
        xrandr -o normal
to put it back in landscape mode (the iPAQ screen is physically oriented
as a landscape screen)
        xrandr -o inverted
to put it in seascape mode (landscape for lefties?)
        xrandr -o left
to put it in inverted portrait mode.

Until the window managers have been modified to respond to rotate and
resize events it will be necessary to restart the window manager after
running xrandr.

Here is the list of packages. Not all of these are affected by the
RandR extension, but RandR has been implemented in XFree86 4.1.
        libfreetype6_2.0.1.20010317-2_arm.ipk
        libxaw7_4.1-1_arm.ipk
        libxft_1.0-1_arm.ipk
        libxrender_4.1-1_arm.ipk
        xbase-clients_4.1-1_arm.ipk
        xlibs_4.1-1_arm.ipk
        xserver-tiny-h3600_4.1-1_arm.ipk

These should appear in the Familiar unstable feed shortly.
