Implement XDM graphical login dialog box

Hi,
    I like to be able to start X on the ipaq with the famous graphics X
login dialog box. In this way, I can implement multiuser profiles without
going through the text console using serial connection at the host pc.
However, since there is no physical keyboard, to allow users to enter their
username and password, the xvkbd must be running. It seems to me that this
is impossible.
    Can anyone advice me on whether this is possible and how?
