I'v had a look at the links you sent me and they all detail the
methods i have tried before, one of my main problems im having is not
being able to remove the old drivers. after trying something else i
can see that i cannot remove any ipkg pakages.

the command i have used is

ipkg remove <pakage name>

but i get back

No packages removed.
Nothing to be done

this problem is stopping me from updating the drivers wich is needed
for the ipaqh3900 series as it says in
http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/WindowsXpUsbNetworkHowTo

any help, i relise that i might just be making a basic error but if
you could point it out i would be thankfull.
