The h5550 is still available in North America. I agree that it has it's
bugs. If your requirements involve bluetooth and sd, then I would avoid
it. If you need long battery life, it is a little shy of optimal *ahem*.
But otherwise it is supported well.

A Sharp C860 :). Seriously, of what you can buy new I would suggest the
h555[0,5]. If it isn't available outside of North America, that is
really a shame. It is the best support out of what can be bought. I
wish I could recommend an hx22xx. It is easily the closest to getting
full support. But it is not ready for everyday use yet.
Try getting an h39xx used. It has good support.
