Building a kernel

Hi,

I must build a custom kernel for a 3875. Done it in the past, but
that was a long time ago.

Which toolchain should I use?
ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/arm/toolchain/
arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2
arm-linux-gcc-3.4.1.tar.bz2

Where is that link on compiling a custom kernel.
