package destination

there are some packages which I only use together with my flashdisk. For
example to use madplay I need mp3 files and because this files are large I have
to put them on my flashdisk.

Because space on ipaq is limited, I thought it would be a good idea to install
madplay on the flashdisk.

Would it be a good idea to write a script that moves all files found in
/usr/lib/ipkg/info/<package> to flashdisk and lets symbolic links for each
file point to the file on flashdisk? Or would this lead to problems, when the
package is removed with ipkg? Or what kind of problems could happen?

Does somebody else have the same problem? How did you solve it?

May the source be with you. You can still escape the Gates of Hell. Use Linux.
This is Linux Country. On a quiet night, you can hear Windows reboot.
It's time to close the Windows.
