Hi,
I tried the amended "connect" command but it didn't really work for my case.
After some trial and error, here is my version of the connect command:

connect '/usr/sbin/chat -v -t9 ogin:--ogin: ppp'

Another thing is that in step 1, the following line:
echo "ppp::101:101:PPP User:/home/ppp:/sbin/pppd" >> /etc/passwd

The ppp connection script at the host will fail if pppd at the ipaq is
installed in another directory instead of /sbin (at least for my
installation, it's under /usr/sbin).

Subject: [Familiar] typo in docs

There is a typo in the PPPHowto.

The line specifying:
connect '/usr/sbin/chat -v -t3 ogin--ogin: ppp'

Should say:
connect '/usr/sbin/chat -v -t3 ;ogin--login: ppp'

Or at least that's the only way I could get it to work...
