Hi,

I have familiar in my flash and debian base system on my microdrive in my ipaq.
How do I best integrate the two environments ?
I will not allways have the microdrive on because I would want to
use some other PCMIA-card like networking.

1. Is there a way that I could boot from the MD - I can't see this in bootldr ?

2. Another way would be to use the flashed kernel and debian system
I tried to set root=/dev/hda for the flash kernel in linuxparms in bootldr,
but that flunked probably because the ext2 module was not loaded.
So is there a way I could make new /linuxrc for the flash kernel to
take root from the debian partition , or preload ext2 or ...

3. I could just mount the microdrive and make dpkg install and maintain
on that directory and be running familiar always on, but then the debian
packages might want to maintain /etc ....

any clearsight around ?-)
