Hi,
first of all, nice distribution you created.
I am currently working on a set of perl scripts (running on my
workstation (ws)) connecting to my ipaq by a serial connection.
This scripts should be capable of:
* installing the root fs from a image
i.e. connect to the pda set the parameters and load the fs
* setup a tcp/ip (i.e. ppp) connection to the pda, using terminal
communication.
* setup ssh for futher communication
* manage and test directory tree on ws for installation on the pda
this should allow the user to install programs for the pda on his ws
and test it, before transfering it to the ws.
probably it would be best to have a loopmounted file that holds the
installation tree
* create a root fs image from a directory tree
that's it more or less...
... that is what I could be alone, and I guess what some people have
written (more or less)!
My idea is the collect the scripts that are allready written (I have
the one from mLinux (lisa.de)) and clue 'em togetter. In the end the
tool should have the following features:
+ GUI...
+ support multible connections, i.e. USB, serial, network
+ let you install packages and manage different installation
+ sync fs with the ws
+ sync data of the pda applications with the ws applications
and my dream is to have an application on my ws to administer my pda.
Anybody interested?
