Doran,
I got the dual-sleeve working on 2.4.7-rmk3-np1 by rebuilding the kernel and
modules.
I put most of the modules back into the kernel to make the ramdisk small. The
current kernel size I have is ~900k. The compressed initrd is 3.7M
Beside having to make the compressed image less than 4M for CyaCE to load,
you will also have to make sure that your ramdisk size is large enough for the
uncompressed initrd image.
I loaded initrd from CyaCE, then use the linuxrc script to jump to the
external flash card that has a copy of the intimate distribution. From there
I was able to install QT palmtop on the external flash and update the intimate
packages via the wireless lan card.
I am playing with a small initrd image to make the iPAQ a portable wiress access
point. It currently works with an Orinoco card in one slot and a NE2000
compatible in the other but there is still some performance issues with the
wireless LAN side. The driver keeps resetting the card on large file transfers.
Let me know if you want a copy of the kernel and initrd image I have, or the
.config file for the kernel.
