Hi Gurus,

I have a trouble on PCMCIA Serial.
Now I have H3660, kernel/task-bootstrap of 2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs is
installed. Of course, serial driver and related package is also
installed with ipkg.

I also have Japanese PHS Packet Modem Card(SII MC-P300), this seems
to be a regular hayes modem. cardctl ident shows up like the following:

sh-2.03# cardctl ident
Socket 0:
  product info: "SII", "MC-P300"
  manfid: 0xc01e, 0x0000
  function: 2 (serial)

As I insertthe card, cardmgr say this is going to be assigned as ttyS0.
But it complains there's no /dev/ttyS0 nor /dev/MAKEDEV. I created
/dev/ttyS0 with mknod but I have no way to check it is correct or not.
In addition, I have little experience with devfs so I really worry if
I'm going wrong direction.

On my i386/Debian desktop, ttyS0 is character/major=4/minor=64 and
I mknod'ed as the same on my handheld. I assume device numbers are
the same for different architecture(e.g. iPAQ), isn't it?

In addition, is there any pre-compiled package of tip/minicom/kermit
to see if the serial setting is correct?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yusuke
