strange md5 checksum with wince backup

hi

I redid this several times to be sure but the first of the four bin
files always comes back as

b42c6320c9f2e7ac313519bbe746f2ce flash_00000000.bin

although the others are fine.

I /did/ install patch 1 of PocketPC though - could this be causing the
discrepancy?? Has anyone else seen this?

Any info greatly appreciated..
