Are you looking at this from the point of view of the developer or the
user? From a user point of view, it's not really a disadvantage; g++
generates code of comparable efficiency to raw C, these days, and the Qt
toolkit is not that different in size from the X11 ones.[1]
For the developer, of course, C++ may be a drawback or it may not. I am
happy using C++ with Qt, because while I would rather use Common Lisp,
it isn't really available...
...but then, I never really saw the point of the C vs C++ fights that go
on so often. :)
