Ok. In that case, I'll probably use the iPaq without X (a great deal
for an embedded device!) for an MP3 player application, so I may not
need to upgrade the memory.

Seems a shame that you get quite a lot of functionality in that 16M
with WindowsCE (email, web browsing, media player, solitaire, pocket
office...) but far less with Linux... I guess we've still got a ways
to go...

Great. Can you post your results so the new folks with just a 3100
in hand can learn from your experience?

Right. This H3135 will probably be tethered via ethernet and power,
so that probably won't be an issue.

Down the road I'll likely get a bigger unit with color and run X and
an 802.11 cardvto use as a handheld.

True, true... The iPaq cable does comes apart quite easily, tho, so
if anybody does have the pinout for that little connector, I'd be
able to make the cable in a few minutes.
