Hello, although I've heard PCMCIA modems should "just work", I'm having
trouble with a
"Xircom PCMCIA CreditCard 56k-GlobalACCESS".

When I put the card in I get this in minicom:
sh-2.03# bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=0
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=1
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=0
cardmgr[107]: initializing socket 0
cardmgr[107]: socket 0: Serial or Modem
cardmgr[107]: executing: 'modprobe serial_cs'
Serial driver version 5.05 (2000-12-13) with no serial options enabled
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=0 reset=0
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=0 reset=0
ttyS00 at port 0xf60002e8 (irq = 42) is a 16450
cardmgr[107]: executing: './serial start ttyS0'

For all I know that seems ok. Oh yeah, I converted an arm setserial .deb
to get this far IIRC. Now I've searched the handhelds site and I've seen
people talk about some setserial tweak or workaround. What's that, and
is that fixed in familiar .4 with the standard kernel?

Then I've tried my chatcript and minicom (which I intstalled) but it all
seems quite dead although I just checked that the card works on a laptop
with linux. Yeah, I've been using ttyS0 everywhere.

Next thing I'll probably convert a sysklogd .deb to see where that'll
get me. Someone already have an ipkg of syslog?

So, umm, any help appreciated... and I'm out, cheers,
