I've read this page and the / Re-Map the Buttons

As I understand it, this remapping maps the buttons to buttons on a
keyboard.

Is it possible to execute a specific command by pressing one of the buttons?

e.g. button 1 --> launch web browser etc.

If so, how would I achieve this?
