iPAQ 3650 Hangs when trying to boot --- HELP PLEASE!!

I just tried loading Familiar v0.4.
I'm getting the exact same hang as described in the email from
Jamey Hicks,
(pyromage@pyromage.net) in his e-mail on 10-Jul-2001.

args=noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc
console=ttySA0
setting boot parameters
get_param: could not find parameter system_rev
Setting up Linux parameters at address=C0000100
using_ramdisk=00000001
initrd_start=346C7466
dram_size=02000000
nr_pages=00002000
command line is: noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc
console=ttySA0
linuxEntryPoint=C0008000
Booting Linux image (where it will stay for evermore...)

I've reloaded the kernel and root files four times, always
with the exact same result.

I searched but didn't see any reply with a fix.

Did anyone resolve the problem. If so, could you please clue
me in??

Host system is 433Mhz PIII, W2000 Professional, SP2
Terminal is HyperTerminal.

Hard reset always brings me back to the bootldr splash screen.

Can anyone help?? Please???

Thanks

Dave G. (with a hung iPAQ [brick??] :-( )
