Kernel Updates and Orinoco's wireless card

I haven't stil got my wireless access installed to my IPaq with standard
0.4 Familiar,
so I am wondering would it help if I update my kernel to 2.4.7?

I noticed that in addition to 2.4.7 kernel in the URL

     ftp://lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/demo/

is available also things like

     task-bootstrap-2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs-hh1.jffs2
     task-bootstrap-2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs_hh1_arm.ipk
     orinoco-modules-2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs_hh1_arm.ipk
     wvlan-modules-2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs_hh1_arm.ipk

Should I transfer them after kernel-update to my IPaq via XModem and
install them with IPKG?
Especially I would like to know what is the relations between
orinoco-modules and wvlan-modules, will I need them both for my ORINOCO
card?

regards,
     Mika
