  Are you talking about connections beyond the masquerading node? 15
minutes sounds like the timeout for masquerading, see for example:

  http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/IPCHAINS-HOWTO

section 4.1.6. If so, you can reset that on the node doing the masquerading
with 'ipchains -M -S ....'
