I believe the X server should always run at the screen's native
'resolution' (i.e. pixel density). By my calculations, that should be
106 dpi (to nearest integer). This makes it much easier for programs
that need to convert screen distances into pixels and vice-versa, and if
you specify (for instance) a 12-point font, that is what you should get
(if it's available, of course).
Shouldn't window managers (themes etc) be configured to use 106 dpi?
What is the default DPI that is used if you do not specify it when
starting Xfbdev/Xipaq? 72?
