The card is supported, but it's not in /etc/pcmcia/config in the Familiar
release.
Add the following lines to the bottom of /etc/pcmcia/config and restart
cardmgr:
card "Compaq WL110 PC Card"
manfid 0x0156, 0x0002
bind "wvlan_cs"
/etc/init.d/pcmcia stop; /etc/init.d/pcmcia start
or
reboot

Subject: [Familiar] Question about PCMCIA Wireless Cards
Hi,
I have an 3660 series iPaq and I have just installed the
bootldr-0000-2.14.8, zImage-2.4.3-rmk2-np1-fam2 and
task-familiar-complete.jffs2. Everything seems to have installed correctly
and I have rebooted the iPaq and can successfully log into it through a
serial interface.
However, when I plug in the PCMCIA extension unit and the Compaq WL110
11Mbps Wireless LAN card, the cardmgr daemon issues the following message:
# bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=0
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=1
bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=50 reset=0
cardmgr[59]: initializing socket 0
cardmgr[59]: unsupported card in socket 0
cardmgr[59]: product info: "Compaq", "Compaq WL110 PC Card", "Version
01.01",
""
cardmgr[59]: manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002 function: 6 (network)
As you can see, it says that the Compaq card is unsupported - can anyone
tell me which wireless cards *are* supported? Is there an updated version of
cardmgr with support for the Compaq card?
Thanks,
Jonathan
