Excellent news.
I, for one, got confused and missed the deadline. The contest rules at:
http://linuxcontest.cpqidea.com/rules.asp
states:
2.CONTEST TERM: Subject to Section 3, Compaq intends to conduct this
Contest from 18 June 2001 through 05 August 2001 (the "Contest Period").
I read this as a closing date of Aug 5th. But then further down it
reads:
6.CONTEST ENTRY SUBMITTAL: You must provide a detailed specification,
program files, and source code for the application electronically via
the Internet on or before 11:59 PM CST on 31 July 2001.
So I missed the deadline. Or did I?
Anyway, perhaps Compaq marketing people should update the rules page
with the new dates, and remove the ambiguity.
Hopefully by 8/17 I can whip my sizeable Tcl project(s) into some sort
of releasable state.
