I found the answer to my problem -- my ethernet card is a cardbus and it isn't supported.

I am having a problem getting my 3com pc ethernet card up and running. I installed
familiar 2.4.6 (I have a dual pcmcia sleeve). Listed below are 2 items of interest that
are reported at start up (I installed the hotplug ipkg):

eth0 modprobe: Can't locate module eth0
/etc/rc2.d/S10hotplug: /etc/hotplug/sleeve.rc: not found

Concerning the 2nd item, sleeve.rc exists at the location specified. Any ideas why I
get the error?

Concerning the 1st problem, I have modifed modules and modules.conf to add
eth0 and an alias for eth0. I have modified /etc/pcmcia/network.opts to put in my static
IP address. I created /etc/resolv.conf and added a 'nameserver'.

Any ideas why I am still attempting to load eth0?

Thanks in advance,
Sean
