Compaq dumping 3150s on ubid.com?

For anyone who hasn't noticed there's been lots of often 20 or more 3150s
being sold on ubid for the past several weeks. Usually going for around
$159. Apparently this latest bunch has a reserve price of $159 but they
can't even get 20 people to pay that (not at this point anyway) so maybe
the reserve will come down. The latest auction ends in less than 30 minutes
so it might not be there when you check but another will start within a day
if not less.

I suspect some people are buying these and then turning around and trying
to sell them on ebay.

I know the status of Familiar is a little iffy on these devices but at that
price I've been pretty tempted. The 3150 only has 16 Meg but since the
display is grayscale there is some memory savings. Anyone having any real
luck with them?

For what it's worth I've had pretty good experiences with ubid.
