Hi,
Initially I had a similar problem. The familiar installations instructions
can mislead you into pulling down a booldr that appears to be incompatible
with the either the task* filesystems or the osloader. I eventually did
not upgrade to the 2.14.8 bootldr and instead pulled down the 2.14.5
bootldr. Things worked after that. Here are the files and their sizes
that I used.

             100,736 bootldr-0000-2.14.5
              79,872 osloader-1.3.0.exe
          12,058,624 task-familiar-complete.jffs2
             517,148 zImage-2.4.3

Let me know if you need the checksums.

After I used these files, the image decompressed and booted properly. Hope
this helps!

Hi all

I really need your help with my installation problem.

I am trying to get familiar v0.4 working on my iPAQ
H3660 with a 64MB CompactFlash Memory module.

The version of the bootloader is 2.14.8, and the root
 image is task-familiar-complete.jffs2

I went through all the steps of the installation successfully.
For the first boot after typing boot, I get that on the terminal display :
boot> boot

command line is: noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttySA0

Booting Linux image

And the process stop at this stage and the cursor flashing.
I have one error message after the line saying setting boot parameters. The
message is :
get_param: could not find parameter system_rev

What's wrong and what should I do.

Please I really need to have this fixed and working quick
Thanks in advance
