When I change the contrast, nothing special happens: I can just change the
contrast with the utility "contrast", with a value from 0 to 255. When I
take a greater value, then it take the modulo of 256, for example when I
enter 513, the value is 1.
With "bl" I can change the backlight. I can turn it on and off with "bl
on" and "bl off". When I give a value, noting changes, except for the
value zero, 256, 512, and so on, the backlight will be turned off with such
value.

Fascinating. What happens when you change the contrast?
