Problems compiling glibc for familiar v0.4

hi.
I wanna make some changes to the glibc for familiar
v0.4.

I have made the changes but am completely lost since I
cant really get it to compile.

I have downloaded the source for glibc-2.2.1 and made
the changes on my laptop.

my laptop runs redhat linux 7.1 and I want to
cross-compile the glibc for the iPAQ. I dont really
know how to cros compile the glibc.In the past I have
successfully cross-compiled different applications for
the iPAQ.

can anyone guide me with this... are there specific
flags that i need to set while running the 'configure'
script ...

I am sure someone must have had success in doing
something like this
