A while ago I had some problems to get it working properly from my Linux
box (I originially installed from an NT box according to instructions).
When minicom refused I prepared everything in a separate xterm and used
sz -X [whatever] >/dev/ttyS0 </dev/ttyS0 to run the actual transfer.
That seemed to help.
Lately it seems to work just fine from inside minicom - except for the
very long timeout.
Strange times, try everything - something might work...
