install questions

I've got an iPaq H3650 that I originally installed
PocketLinux 1.0 release on, but want to try out
Familiar.

I flashed my bootloader to bootldr-0000-02282001
in hopes of getting better features, but just learned
that I need bootldr-0000-2.14.5-bigkernel-mono.

Unfortunately, my current bootloader won't let me
flash anything anymore. I've got everything set up
properly, I believe, with 8N1, no flow control, 115200,
and all that jazz over a serial connection on MSWin
with HyperTerminal. No love.

Someone suggested I try connecting with a Linux box
and Minicom, but I was unable to get Minicom working
properly.

Does anyone have any ideas? At this point, it seems
like I couldn't even flash the stupid thing back to
WinCE if I wanted to!

Help?
