Long story but same as the one some people on the ipaq list are having - we
didn't realize ssh was loaded on there already and ipkg would just install it
when executed. I read the install doc to say that ipkg would download and
install it so I was trying to get the ipaq set up on a ppp network - hence no
console.

BTW, the docs say to change for a 32 MB ipaq

        partition define root 0x100000 0xf00000 16

to

        partition define root 0x100000 0x1f00000 16

Is that correct? I tried it like that and got all kinds of errors (see initial
message). I'm willing to experiment since I really don't have anything I need
on there right now.
