Sleep/Resume with "latest" 0.4 install

I've just followed the nice new 0.4 instructions to update to the latest
bits & bobs.

I only reinstalled the boot loader and kernel, since the boot loader had
changed and the kernel then had to be reloaded.

Problem #2 with the sleep/resume support still seems to be there. I haven't
found any more about this - does anyone know if any progress has been made?
Sleep/resume is more or less useless without a fix, which is a shame. :(
