Summary: Can't install image "can't find control file"
           Product: familiar
           Version: v0.8.4
          Platform: Compaq iPAQ H39xx
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gpe-image
        AssignedTo: familiar-dev_at_handhelds.org
        ReportedBy: richard_at_reallyrathergood.com

I go through the rigmarole and download the appropriate tarfile, and I unzip
it's contents to a CF card. I have installed the bootloader image without a
hitch, but cannot install the actual OS image because I get the "can't find
control file" error message.

Since this is my first experience of trying to do this (although I'm an
old-hand at Linux generally), I'm a bit stumped as to what to do next.

It occurs to me that I'm using an add-on sleeve with a CF slot in it - I wonder
if I might fare better using the built-in SD card slot?
