GPE update plans?

Hi,

what are the current plans for GPE in Familiar? I have seen that the Familiar
feeds still have a lot of old GPE components that are far behind latest GPE 2.8.
Even if some of you do (or did) not share our opinions about decisions in the
GPE project, we still advertise Familiar as one of the primary sources of GPE
binary packages. It would be a great benefit for many Familiar users to get GPE
updated and it would be nice to see updates for all the older iPAQ devices
Familiar is the best choice for.
If I can help in this process please let me know what I can do...
