What handheld are you using? What kernel version is it running? Did IrDA work in
familiar 0.8.2 for you? How do you know that no data is being received? Is the
device you are communicating with known to work?

And I am stripping this from blocking bug 1602. Rene and I get to make that
decision after we have triaged your report.
