This can IMHO happen when your battery is really flat.
What helps for me is:
- remove battery
- reinsert battery (should not yet buzz)
- pull and hold the battery cover open-lever (but don't let the battery
slip out!)
- now connect the AC, wait for some time, like one minute
- now let the lever go
... and bang, it should start-up again!
My theory is that the battery is so flat that the battery fault hardware
detection kicks in and hard-power-offs the device. Then it detects AC
and comes back on again. Then it detect battery fail again, etc...
At power up with a drained battery and drained goldcap the power brakes
down below a critical level.
After a minute at least the goldcap is charged again so that the startup
and boot process works again until the charger is activated.
