Hello,
I purchased a h5555 with virtually no use on it for familiar development and
personal use. I chose it because it of it's BT and 802.11 capabilities and
it seemed to be well supported. I'm running into issues with it not being
very familiar flash friendly :-D, hoping someone can offer some suggestions
on how to deal with it, because this is making it very hard to develop.
I can reflash WINCE on it and it boots up perfectly every time. However
flashing various stable/unstable or compiled (using OE) opie/gpe/bootstrap
images, meet with varying success. Most often what happens is it never really
boots up but I can login via serial. I had one that booted fine for a while,
I think it went to sleep, and now won't boot again.
I don't think it's a problem with the device, as mentioned WINCE works like
a champ every time, and it exhibits no problems otherwise. So I'm assuming
that there's something in the support for the h5xxx that isn't quite right
and is causing this...which I'd also love to hunt down and fix.
Anyway so far the remedy that most often seems to work is reflash with WINCE
then flash back whatever image. Leaving the battery out for days (sigh) at a
time and 5 million resets doesn't seem to do any good.
Any help suggestions appreciated, I'm really anxious to begin development on
this and fix some of the bugs I see.
Ty
