At first I was thinking "ipkg-cl configure" in /etc/rcS.d/S98configure, but of
course that should take no time at all without the package index (and there
shouldn't be any on first boot). That certainly does take a long time on
subsequent boots though.
A while ago I was thinking about running a bootchart
(http://www.bootchart.org/) analysis on Familiar, but at the time I couldn't
get the prerequisites to build for the iPAQ so I gave up. Maybe this is a
good time to try again.
