Hi Paul, Koen et all,

... after Iīve done the rmmod/insmod trick once (last Friday) sound keeps
working - even hard resets, re-boots & daily use did not shake it until
today.

Mhh... I still do not understand why it works now w/o any problems - & why it
doesnīt survive the first re-boot after a new install/ROM flash w/o special
re-animation afterwards.

In general sound quality is much improved with ALSA compared to OSS ... with
"alsamixer" I even have bass/treble control back :-)

Btw. is it a switch to set that opie-mixer supports bass/treble again (as in
0.7.2), or did the OPIE team changes there?
- I know, thatīs not the OPIE list - but if its just a question how to build
the binary/lib it might belong here anyway.
Another question if Iīm asking things already: will the OPIE-Reader for
familiar-0.8.3 be compiled with flite support? If not, I would like to
recommend/suggest to enable this very cool feature (I already felt in love
with the CVS version).

with kind regards,
Patrik
