Well, after a bit of debug I can say is not a regression, but is something I can't
really explain:
In the pkg_hash.c there is a constrain function I did have never understood.
This function was added in the old 0.99.60+ releases and I already had some
signalling on that strange behaviour.
As soon as I can talk to you a bit in IRC I will fix that problem.
