OOOkk.
I went a little more in depth and found that a single kernel setting seems
to be a remedy for the slow writing speed.

Are there objections to follow this hint?
I already compiled kernels for my laptop, but since I don't have linux on my
computer anymore I don't know how to compile the standard kernel with this
little option "Synchronous File I/O" set to "no".
Is it possible to compile the kernel on the ipaq itself?
Can someone please help me?
Thx,
Daniel

Betreff: [Familiar-dev] MMC Card speed (ipaq 3850, opie)
Hi everyone!
Is somebody currently working on a faster driver for MMC card access (esp.
write). With my Ipaq and a Hama 1GB MMC I have speeds down to 3 kBs!
Are there any plans to work on this?
Thank you very much for the good work you've already done!
Daniel
