Porting Familiar

Hi all,

It seems that Familiar is not very iPAQ specific, so it shouldn't be very very difficult to port it to another device, provided that we have proper kernel and bootloader.
Except those two components, what is hardware dependent in the Familiar distribution?
What would be the process (what would be the difference...) to make the root filesystem for another device?

Maybe some people tried to port it to the Zaurus or to something else. I would really enjoy that they tell me their experience.
