You may want to try and hit the ENTER Key on your keyboard. That works for me. The space bar does not.

1. I try to install Linux to my iPAQ according to the instructions you provided. However, I couldn't pass step 14. That's means, when I push the recessed reset button at the lower right of the unit while holding the center of the joypad. Then I reinsert iPAQ to serial cradle. I quickly type "spacebar" in my notebook, also press "calender" button in iPAQ, but it is useless. I could not see the boot> prompt. Could you give me more detailed instruction about this step.

By the way, I have hyperterminal in my notebook, I configurred a connection through port COM1, since in my notebook I only have a serial port. When I press "spacebar" or "calender", I can see some changes in the window of hypertermal, it is a character could not be recognized, not the prompt you mentioned.
