IPAQ Bootloader and soft reset

Hi Folks,

I am preparing my IPAQ 3800 to run Familiar, and I need to dual boot the
PocketPC2002 OS as well. I have backed up the unit using the BootBlaster
and installed bootldr 2.18.01. The loader appears to operate normally,
however when I use the action key and do a soft reset I lose any data that
CE contained, in fact the units CE OS reverts to factory 1st time setup and
runs me through screen centering etc. Looking around I ran across a note
that I cannot find again that suggested that this issue was fixed in
bootldr 2.18.1 ?? (working from memory here). I could not find that
particular loader so I installed 2.18.22. The unit still boots CE fine,
but exhibits the same data loss when I use the action key and reset to
bring up the boot menu, next time I start CE the OS is back to factory
original.

Is there a suggested bootldr to accomplish my objectives? Is this behavior
normal?
