This is I believe an FAQ that you can find answered in many places and
is mentioned in every document where use of the bootloader through a
serial port is discussed. Be absolutely sure that your terminal
emulation software is set to 115200 8-N-1 and No flow control. That
last point about flow control is what usually causes the problem you are
seeing, please be sure that you have all flow control turned off, no
software flow control, no hardware flow control.
