Hello...
This seems to be a common problem, but I didn't find the answer yet.
I installed LISA mLinux 0.9 on my 3630. Now I would like to upgrade to
Familiar 0.5.1. The problem is, that I cannot install the new
bootloader.
I tried Minicom under Linux and HyperTerm under Win2000, but both didn't
succeed. After about 30 Seconds, HyperTerm gives a timeout-error. But
this seems to be a known problem.
With Minicom, I can connect to the bootloader, and I can execute some
commands. So I think the connection is setup correctly. I read that,
when doing a load bootldr it takes some time for the transmission to
start, but the writers say that it should be about 60 seconds. I waited
for more than an hour, but except of some dots appearing in the
terminal, nothing happened.
The bootloader-version on mLinux 0.9 seems to be bootldr-0000-03062001.
In 'show', ist says 'Compaq OHH BootLoader, Rev 02.0C.00'.
I read about this problem in
http://www.handhelds.org/pipermail/bootldr/2001-May/000095.html
http://www.handhelds.org/pipermail/bootldr/2002-February/000677.html
but there isn't any working solution for me.
Ciao,
Ronald.
