save params ?

I am using bootloader Rev 2-18-1 and I can't use params save , it
returns:
"No params partition found. I cannot save params into Wince or JFFS2
files!!!"
I've already installed a lot of things and I don't want to start again,
is there a way to create
that params partition or to set linuxargs without erasing everything ?
