Hi there,
Some folks on #handhelds.org suggested that I write to this list to ask
about recovering my H3600. I was running an older version of familiar,
and decided to upgrade the bootloader to the current version. Using
minicom, a serial cable and "load bootldr", it seemed to go okay.
Then I tried to restore CE from the compaq SP20010.exe software package.
I divided it into sections using the suggested dd commands, and uploaded
each one to the iPaq in sequence. Then i typed "reset" at the bootloader
prompt. The power LED flashed for a little while before staying on
continuously. The LCD never displayed anything, and there's nothing on
the serial port. Power-cycling it and using the reset switch result in
the same blink,steady,no-boot behavior.
Is there a way to recover this device, now?
